Kota Ullas KaranthKota Ullas Karanth was originally trained as an engineer at the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal (1971), but pursued his passion for wildlife biology, obtaining a Master’s degree at the University of Florida, USA (1988), and a Doctorate frm Mangalore University (1993) focusing on tiger ecology. Karanth is an Adjunct faculty member at the Universities of Florida and Minnesota in USA, as well as the National Centre for Biological Sciences (TIFR), Bangalore.
