Kristian SteenstrupKristian Steenstrup was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1966. He attended the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, graduating in 1992. From 1988 to 1990, he studied in Chicago with Professor Vincent Cichowicz at Northwestern University, and with Arnold acobs, and returned to study with them many times during the 1990s. Kristian is Professor of Trumpet at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, where he published the book Teaching Brass in 2007. He has recorded two CDs with pianist Eriko Takezawa: Capriccio and Danish Music for Trumpet and Piano. He maintains a busy traveling schedule, having lectured and given masterclasses in most European countries, as well as in Israel, Brazil, Canada, Taiwan, Japan and Australia. He has led workshops with professional orchestras throughout Norway, Sweden, Scotland, England, Germany and Brazil.
