L S SamuelsThe author, L. S. Samuels was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa seventy-one years ago. She had a tough upbringing and found life hard through various family and personal relationships. After a spell as a teacher she entered the nursing profession nd became a registered nurse. She helped out in clinics in various capacities and also acted as a midwife.She experienced tragedy and pain, principally when her daughter drowned in a swimming pool. But she has overcome adversity and says when hardship drags you down you should take a step back and remember you are not alone because there are outside forces waiting for you to be rescued.
