Lalit TiwariDr. Lalit Tiwari (Born February 21, 1980) did his M.Sc. in Botany in 2001 and Ph.D. on the topic of "Ethno-veterinary Medicines of Uttaranchal Himalaya". After Post Graduation, he worked as Research Assistant in a project on "Traditional Knowledge Sytem of Uttaranchal Himalaya" which was sponsored by Indra Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi. During 2004 he worked in National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow as Senior Research Fellow in the project of "Development of Standards of Selected Therapeutically Important Indian Medicinal Plants and Preparation of Monographs" sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. He has extensively traveled the remote areas of Uttarakhand Himalaya and is devoted to recording of the Traditional Medicine Knowledge of ethnic people and tribes. Dr. Tiwari had to credit more than 35 research articles on medicinal plants and a book "Folk Medicine and Aromatic Plants of Uttaranchal".
