Lara CarneiroLara Carneiro earned her BSc in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Science at the University of Porto, Portugal (2023). Dr Carneiro holds a BSc in Physical Education (2009), a Masters degree in Physical Education (2012) and a Docorate in Sports Science (2017) from Portugal. Carneiro currently works as an Assistant Professor at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in the College of Education. She serves as an editor of Combining Exercise and Psychotherapy to Treat Mental Health, published by IGI Global, which earned a 5-star rating from Doody’s Review Service. She also has experience in designing, implementing, and managing randomized controlled trials (efficacy of exercise and psychotherapy). Dr. Carneiro is also a Management Committee Member of funded research projects (e.g. CA21123 - Cancer- Understanding Prevention in Intellectual Disabilities (CUPID).
