LaRay DenzerDr. LaRay Denzer (16 August 1941 – 7 September 2025) passed away unexpectedly. She had recently completed editing the Newsletter for the Program of African Studies, Northwestern University and co-authoring The Historical Dictionary of Sierra Leon. For more than sixty years she was a highly regarded scholar and teacher of the history of West Africa. She was pursuing several research projects at the time of her death.
