Lawrence YorkDr. Lawrence York, PharmD, BCIDP, BCPS, AAHIVP, is a board-certified infectious diseases pharmacist working in the University of Arizona’s Petersen HIV Clinics as a clinical pharmacist. He works in tandem with infectious diseases, physicians and clincal coordinators to provide collaborative care for people with HIV and individuals seeking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Additionally, he works with an infectious diseases physician to provide collaborative infectious diseases care via telemedicine to several department of corrections facilities in the state of Arizona. Working with the Pacific AIDS Education Training Center (PAETC), he helps deliver several teaching sessions on facets of HIV care for practitioners interested in getting more involved in the care of this community. Dr. York received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Arizona, which also later awarded him his doctor of pharmacy degree. His first year of post-graduate residency training was completed at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System and his second, specializing in infectious diseases, at Banner University Medical Center, Tucson.
