LeilaDaniela Beatriz Leal Reyes, known by her pen name Leila, was born in southern Chile in 1990. Drawn to life's deepest questions from a young age, she began writing poetry at eleven as a way to explore love, faith, and the meaning of existence. Trainedas an industrial civil engineer, Leila's journey has always bridged the technical and the creative. In 2015, she moved to Quebec, Canada, where she embraced new languages, cultures, and a profound sense of home. After briefly returning to Chile, she came back to Canada in 2018 to study interior design, reconnecting with her artistic roots. Amid personal challenges in 2020, poetry became a vital source of healing and expression. Inspired by voices like Tahar Ben Jelloun and Gabriela Mistral, Leila's work fuses drama and hope, inviting readers to the place where emotion and reason meet.Leila currently lives in Montreal and shares her poetry on Instagram @leila.poems.
