Leonard E WassermanLeonard's passion for adventure fuels his writing. He taught industrial arts in New England before accepting a teaching position in Barrow, Alaska, 500 miles from the North Pole, despite winters of 100 degrees below zero and total darkness! He also tught in Galena Alaska, a village on the Yukon River and Unalaska in the Aleutian Islands. His days were filled with adventures: the dazzling Northern Lights, polar bears, Inuit whale hunting. He also traversed the frozen waters of the Arctic ocean on ski-doo. Encouraged by friends to write about his experiences, he transformed his fantastical experience of living in Alaska into the story of Regalbop.
