Leonard Phillip WolfeI was born on December 26, 1959, and I am an American author of fiction. My wife and I were both born and raised in southern Illinois, and together we have three daughters who have been a great inspiration for the characters I write about. I'm also a avid deer hunter and a gun enthusiast, and these passions often find their way into my novels. My father's name was Leonard, so I adopted it as my pen namein his honor. I grew up in a small town in southern Illinois, but spent three years livingin Virginia before returning home. I'm married, and my three daughters have influenced me greatly-so much so that the main character in my books is often a female. When I was writing my first book, I was babysitting my oldest granddaughter.
