Leroy ShawLeroy Shaw was born in Dudley, West Midlands on the 10th December 1980 where he grew up with his mother Mary, father Stafford, sisters Janine & Pauline and brother Craig. He was a keen football player and sprinter winning various awards and trophies,whilst supporting his football team Birmingham City. Leroy moved to Hereford for a short spell before settling down in Swansea, Wales where he lived for a number of years before moving to Grimsby while he applied for a position within the fire service. In 2009 his dream was realised and he moved to Scotland to take up his role as a whole-time firefighter based in Ayrshire, where he currently lives with his Pug Kizzi who stars as the main character in the book. He now plans to complete a series of books on the "Kizzi The Fire Pug" adventures, drawing from his own operational and life experiences. It was a visit to the fire station when Kizzi was just a puppy that helped inspire and create the idea for this series of books.
