Lesley Belleau

Lesley Belleau is an Anishinaabekwe writer, educator and activist from the Ojibway Nation of Ketegaunseebee (Garden River First Nation), near Bawating/Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She lives in Peterborough, where she is completing her PhD in Indigenus Studies at Trent University, focusing on Indigenous feminine literature and narratives. Belleau is the author of two previously published short fiction collections. Her acclaimed poetry book, Indianlan, (ARP) received the prestigious Pat Lowther Memorial Award.
