Leslie MackeenLeslie Ann MacKeen holds a BSN from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing, a Bachelors of Arts in International Studies from Johns Hopkins, and a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University. She currently wors as an intensive care nurse serving pediatric and adult patients at the NC Jaycee Burn Center at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. Before she became a nurse, Leslie worked in public health and international development, helping to improve lives in South America, East Africa, and the Middle East. She specialized in issues such as family planning, reproductive health, health economics, HIV/AIDS, health systems strengthening, and maternal and pediatric health. Leslie currently resides in Durham, NC with her husband, Bill, and their rescue dog, Stella.
