Leticia UrietaLeticia Urieta is a Tejana writer from Austin, TX. She is a teaching artist in the greater Austin community and a freelance writer. She is the Regional Program Manager for Austin Bat Cave, a nonprofit that provides free creative writing opportunitiesto students 7-18 years old and is also the Program Director for Barrio Writers in Austin and Pflugerville, a free college level youth writers workshop founded by author and activist Sarah Rafael Garcia in Santa Ana, CA. Leticia is a graduate of Agnes Scott College and earned an MFA in Fiction writing from Texas State University. Her work appears or is forthcoming in Cleaver, Chicon Street Poets, Lumina, The Offing, Kweli Journal, Medium, Electric Lit and others.
