Lionel NobleLionel Noble was posted to the Peterborough Division of the South Australian Railways in 1944. During his time in Peterborough, he qualified as an engineman at age 23 and went on to work as a locomotive instructor and inspector. He had the distinctio of bringing the first 830 class diesel onto the Peterborough Division.
