Lois CavalierLois Vaughan Cavalier was born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles and is a fourth-generation Californian. After moving to San Diego County and ultimately settling in Vista, she served as editor of The Vista Press newspaper in the 1970s and 1980s,carrying on the proud tradition of community journalism that began with the first edition on September 24, 1926. In 2008 her book, aptly titled Vista and containing 200 historic photos and background, was published by Arcadia Publishing for their Images of America series. She also contributed a decade of Vista history articles with photos for the quarterly Chamber of Commerce magazine.
