Lori DuranAuthor Lori Duran has held a lifetime interest in history. After finishing a master's degree from the University of Texas, she had a diverse career. She previously authored another Arcadia book, Austin's Travis Heights Neighborhood, and in the last fw years, she has turned her attention to writing historical articles for Society Texas magazine. For the University of Texas at Austin: The First One Hundred Years, she has collected photographs from residents of Austin, as well as the Austin History Center, the Texas Historical Commission, the Flower Hill Foundation, and the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin.
