Lothar KahnLothar Kahn was born in Rehlingen, in the Saarland, when it was part of France. He immigrated to the United States in 1937 and earned a B.A. from the City College of New York and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University. In 1946, he joined the facuty of Teachers College of Connecticut, as Central Connecticut State University was then called, as a teacher of French and German.
