Louise K. Blight
Louise K. Blight is a conservation biologist and writer with a research interest in seabird ecology and a PhD in Zoology from the University of British Columbia. An Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria’s School of Environmental Studies,she has authored more than fifty scientific publications and serves as the co-chair of the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada, the expert national body that assesses threatened species. She lives on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. She is profoundly grateful to the birds, lands, and waters that have taught her so much, and continue to teach her.
