Lovely RajuLovely Raju is a poet originally from Bangladesh whose work moves through the intersections of science, environment, and human experience. He holds a BS in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Rajshahi. Driven by an endurng passion for language and storytelling, he pursued an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Notre Dame, a journey that allowed him to deepen both his voice and his vision as a poet. While at Notre Dame, he worked as an assistant editor at Action Books, an international press dedicated to innovative poetry and translation. He is currently pursuing a PhD in English with a concentration in Creative Writing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Raju's poetry explores ecopoetry, social justice poetry, and dream poetry, weaving together questions of environment, memory, and transformation. His debut full-length collection, HOPE (Finishing Line Press), traces paths of resilience and renewal. His second collection, Inside Violence Violence Inside (FlowerSong Press), probes the haunting circulations of violence and tenderness, where love, dread, and survival blur into one another.
