Cabeza graduated in Chemical Engineering (1992) and Industrial Engineering (1993) at Institut Químic de Sarrià (Universitat Ramon Llull) and holds a Master Degree on industrial management (1995) and a PhD on Industrial Engineering (1996) fro the same university. She is currently Full Professor at the University of Lleida (Lleida, Spain). Her research interests are on thermal energy storage and sustainability in buildings, processes, and cities.
