M D DharamdasaniDr. M. D. Dharamdasani, is working as Professor of Political Science and Director, Centre for the Study of Nepal and also Co-ordination of Japanese Studies at Banaras Hindu University. After a brilliant academic career, he joined the University of Raasthan Assistant Professor and BHU as Reader in Political Science in 1981 and was alleviated to the post of Professor in Political Science. Dr. Dharamdasani is engaged in a number of research Projects sponsored by UGC and the centre such as Nepal and the super powers, Dynamics of Foreign Aid in South Asia. Presently, he is working on Parliamentary Democracy in South Asia and Japan's Attitude Towards SAARC. Dr. Dharmadasani has participated and organised number of National and International Seminars. He has many publications to his credit such as Benazir's Pakistan, Nepal in Transition, Sri Lanka: An Island in crisis, Japan's Role in South Asia, Multi-Party Democracies in South Asia and Indo-Japan Relations. He is also Editor of Journal of Japanese Studies and Indian Journal of Nepalese Studies.
