M D Sol WeingartenAt the age of 18, Sol Weingarten was drafted into the Army during World War II where he fought in Germany and became a prisoner of war. During that time, he witnessed some of the most horrible behaviors humanity was capable of while gaining insights nto improving human nature. That experience moved him to devote his life's work to helping people stop themselves from being cruel and destructive to one another. He decided to become a physician and then specialized in psychiatry using both one-on-one and group therapy. For the next fifty years he worked with thousands of individuals, couples, and families in Northern California as well as several thousand in-mates in the California State prison system. He is a long-time member of the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association. In 2011 he published an article entitled "Nature's Best-Kept Secret" that first described the technique he presents more fully in this book. More information can be found on his website, www.solweingarten.com, and there are plans for a second book that will offer more help and understanding about the conscious aspects of human behavior. Dr. Weingarten is retired from practice and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Read More Read Less
