M L GelmanDr. M L Gelman was born and raised in Bulawayo, Rhodesia. He graduated from the University of Capetown Medical School, served his internship in Rhodesia and came to the UK in 1965 where he worked in the NHS, attained a Postgraduate Degree and returne to Rhodesia where he practised as a specialist physician through UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence) and the bush war, followed by a period of tranquility in the new Zimbabwe, ending in political violence and economic decline. He moved to the UK in 2003 to work in the NHS and has co-authored several medical articles, also writing the monograph Traditional Medicine in Zimbabwe. Now retired, Dr. Gelman lives in Cornwall.
