M Winston EganM. Winston Egan is Professor Emeritus and past Chair of the Teacher Education Department at the David O. McKay School of Education, Brigham Young University. He has taught learners from preschool through high school and began his work in special eduction at Utah Boys Ranch, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to supporting youth with diverse needs. Dr. Egan has published in numerous respected journals, including Behavior Disorders, Journal of Teacher Education, Teacher Education and Special Education, American Journal of Distance Education, Journal of Special Education, Rural Special Education Quarterly, and Teaching and Teacher Education. He has received multiple honors for excellence in teaching, including Professor of the Year from the Blue Key National Honor Society at Brigham Young University and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Utah, and has been recognized as an associate of the National Network for Education Renewal.
