Manuel Sánchez
Manuel Sánchez (Spain, 1967) has been passionate about classical culture and literature since childhood. An avid reader and prolific author with readers in more than thirty countries, he has published the novels Alma Luna [Soul Moon], Navigators [avegantes], The Cocoon [La crisálida], Desire Ways [Las rutas del deseo], Ultima Thule [Última Thule], Buccaneers of the Stars [Bucaneros de estrellas], The Sand Tree [El árbol de arena], The Snow Rose [La rosa de nieve], and Sea Eyes [Ojos de mar]; as well as the short story collection Catch-all Drawer [Cajón de sastre] and the volume of poetic reflections The Southeast Wind [El viento del sureste]. As a playwright, he is particularly known for his stage play Pond of Frogs [Charco de ranas].
He is currently working on a new literary project. His works are available in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese, in print, e-book, and audiobook formats.
He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from IE. He is a member of AEM (Madrid Writers Association), AEMCLM (Castilla-La Mancha), Quijote, and CEDRO. He has furthered his education with courses in creative writing and classical art at institutions such as Escuela de Escritores (Madrid), Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), Wesleyan University, and Yale University (United States).
An indefatigable traveler, in love with ancient Rome and passionate about astronomy, Manuel Sánchez combines in his work a humanistic outlook, narrative sensitivity, and a constant drive to explore new horizons.
