Marc R. BlackmanDr. Marc R. Blackman serves as a Sr. Physician Scientist, and previously served as Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development (ACOS R&D), at the Washington DC, VAMC.
He is a physician scientist, teacher, and administrator; and is Amercan Board of Medicine Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. As an endocrinologist and gerontologist/geriatrician, he has extensive grant, publication, and practical experience in laboratory, translational and clinical research in neuroendocrinology, reproductive endocrinology and geriatric endocrinology and metabolism, and in study design, leadership and mentoring.
He has served successfully as principal investigator or Co-principal investigator on multiple NIH, VA, foundation, and industry grants and is a member of numerous medical and scientific societies. He is a frequent national and international lecturer and consultant on various aspects of endocrinology and aging.
