I was in heaven and although I was an artist the natural places and wild animals around me held so much interest tha I wanted to write for children. Little was written for children at that time and I wanted to pass my knowledge on. Shuter&Shooter published my Taffy Tales (now out of date) as a school reader and perhaps The Elephant Buttons can be used the same way.
