Margery Allingham
Margery Allingham (1904-1966) was a prolific writer who is best known for her elegant sleuth Albert Campion, part detective and part adventurer. She became one of the preeminent writers who helped bring the detective story to maturity in th 1920s and 1930s, the "golden age" of detective fiction.
