Mariam Iyabo AdeobaDr. Mariam Iyabo Adeoba is a Research Fellow at the University of South Africa’s Department of Mechanical Bioresources and Biomedical Engineering. She obtained her MSc from the University of Agriculture, Nigeria, and her PhD in Zoology from the Univesity of Johannesburg, South Africa. Her areas of interest include zoology, environmental management, and renewable energy, within which she has focused on water resources management, waste management, and nature conservation. She currently investigates the suitability and quality of fish waste for anaerobic digestion. As a Resource Person for the Women in the Just Energy Transition (JET Skills Program, Phase II, South Africa), she has designed and delivered training modules on renewable energy project management to empower women and promote gender equality in the energy industry.
