Marie E RickwoodMarie Elizabeth Rickwood lives in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada with her husband, Val Fenton. She is proud to say she has raised six wonderful children and today enjoys her many grandchildren.

Writing and painting have always been part of her lif. More recently she has painted portraits of her children which are on display in her home.

Together with her husband, Val Fenton, they are part of Nanaimo's dance society and go dancing once or twice a week. They also belong to the Nanaimo North Probus Club.

Prior to her retirement in the year 2000, Marie was an Office Administrator/Accountant in Nanaimo for 30 years, and she also, during that time, owned and operated a catering business called, Maria's Catering Food and Bar Service. She catered many banquets in the Nanaimo area, and with great success catered a political convention in Victoria, B.C. for a crowd of 400 which included the Premier of the province.

Marie's slogan for her catering business was: 'Pleasing Palate and Pocketbook'.

Other books Marie has written are: Hornets In The Office; Behind the Smoke - co-authored with her husband, Val Fenton, retired District Fire Chief, and her most recent novel, Rules For Living On Earth, of which she has a sequel in progress.
