Marimuthu Uthayakumar

Dr. Marimuthu Uthayakumar is a certified mechanical engineer. His PhD research focused on bimetallic piston machining at the Department of Production Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He completed his postdoctora fellowship in tribology in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. He has been included in the list of World’s Top 2% Scientists recognized by Stanford University and awarded as a top Indian Researcher by Career 360. He also received an Outstanding Scientist Award in 2020 by VDGOOD. Currently, he is a member of the Editorial Board of KSMPE Korea and the journal of Mechanics of Advanced Composite Structures. He actively publishes in international journals and has successfully completed research projects which received fundings from various agencies, including the Department of Atomic Energy-Board of Studies in Nuclear Science (DAE-BRNS), DST, DRDO, MoEF & CC, and UGC?DAE, an international research project supported by the Poland National Science Academy, and the Mobility Project under Erasmus+ promoted by the European Union. He is serving as a National Executive Committee member of the ISTE, New Delhi, and the Chairman of SAEISS, Tirunelveli Division. After working for two decades at Kalasalingam University in different capacities including Director (International Relations), currently he is working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, Kollam, India.
