Mark J CampMark J. Camp, a native of Toledo, Ohio, began his teaching career at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, in 1974. He joined the faculty at the University of Toledo in 1976 and teaches courses in introductory geology, paleontology, the geology of naional parks, and Ohio geology. He received his MS in geology from the University of Toledo and his PhD in geology from the Ohio State University. His recent research-focused on the history of Midwest geological studies, the use of building stones in historical buildings, quarry and mine development, and the architecture of railroad depots-reflects his long-standing interest in late nineteenth and early twentieth-century history.
