Her father, an educator and early mentor, taught sculpture and drawing in the fine art department, at Michigan State University. Martha was a gifted child. Later n, she was awarded academic scholarship to attend Parson's at The New School's Illustration BFA program, in lower Manhattan, NY. Weil spent the next twenty years working in New YorkCity's publishing, fine art and design worlds. Martha J.
