He assumed he couldn't be the only one to have such amazing dreams. Matthew grew up in a quiet town south of Boston, Massachusetts. He attended college in Massachusetts and Georgia and received his B.S. from Georgia State University in 1985. It was his mother, Nancy Anne Dawe, who planted the seed of writing and love of stories in him, as she was a successful photojournalist for over 40 years.
