Matías Costa

Matías Costa was born in Buenos Aires (1973) and arrived in Spain in 1977, escaping from the dictatorship. He graduated in Information Sciences from the UCM and began to take photographs in 1989 in a self-taught way. He was the founder and member f the NOPHOTO collective until 2012. In his projects he reflects on migration and memory. Among them are When we are all rich, Cargo, Zonians or The Family Project. He has received, among other important recognitions, the World Press Photo in 2000 and 2002, and the Banca March International Photography Award in 2017.
