Matías Godoy

Matías Godoy (Bogotá, 1985) es un escritor colombiano. Vive en el oasis salado de Siwa, en la frontera entre Egipto y Libia, donde los habitantes aún hablan un antiguo dialecto bereber y producen un excelente aceite de oliva que Mtías gusta poner en sus ensaladas cuando el calor del Sahara impide comer cualquier cosa caliente. A veces, por la mañana, lo visitan una garza blanca, un camello barbudo y tuerto, y un zancudo de El Cairo que ya no pica porque se volvió vegetariano. Es autor de Las glorias, Los amigos de Matías, El reparador de poemas y Los valientes, entre otros.

Matías Godoy (Bogotá, 1985) is a Colombian writer. He lives in the salty oasis of Siwa, on the border between Egypt and Libya, where the inhabitants still speak an ancient Berber dialect and produce excellent olive oil that Matías likes to use in his salads when the Sahara heat makes it impossible to eat anything hot. Sometimes, in the morning, he is visited by a white heron, a bearded one-eyed camel, and a mosquito from Cairo that no longer bites because it became vegetarian. He is the author of Las glorias, Los amigos de Matías, El reparador de poemas, and Los valientes, among others.
