Max McCoy
Max McCoy is an award-winning novelist, screenwriter, and investigative reporter. In 1992, he won the 1992 Medicine Pipe Bearer's Award for Best First Novel from the Western Writers of America for The Sixth Rider, a novel about the 192 Dalton raid on Coffeyville's banks. Hellfire Canyon, McCoy's fourteenth novel, was named Best Paperback Original by the Western Writers of America in 2008. His other westerns include I, Quantrill, A Breed Apart, and Into the West, the novelization of Steven Spielberg's epic television miniseries.
