Max Richmond

Max Richmond was a 4th Class Marine Engineer who "came up the hawsepipe" meaning he worked his way up the ranks, starting out as an MA, a Mechanical Assistant, a position formerly known as an Oiler. He also worked on ships as a 3rd Class Marine Enineer, Electrician, Tunnelman, OS (Ordinary Seaman) and also has certified experience at the wheel. He also crewed on a square-rigged sailing vessel, performing duties as a Deckhand, Topman and Helmsman.
