Maya MacPherson

Maya Macpherson has always found nature to be an important part of who she was growing up.

Inspired by her daughter, Maya wrote Surf Like a Girl to remind her and other young women that they are in charge of their own happiness n life, and that they are capable of anything if they set their minds to it. Raising her daughter to enjoy the outdoors and create her own life has been Maya's sole focus, encouraging her to ride her own wave and to find happiness in what she does.

Maya and her daughter live on Maui, Hawaii. Surf Like a Girl is her first children's book.
