Meric SrokoszProfessor Meric Srokosz is an oceanographer at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, UK and Honorary Professor of Physical Oceanography at the University of Southampton. Since 2001, he has been the science coordinator of the RAPID programme hich is focused on observing, modelling, and understanding the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) and its role in climate. In addition to AMOC, his research interests include ocean waves, biophysical interactions, satellite oceanography, and the Agulhas and Madagascar current systems.
