Merrilee Hill TingleAuthor Merrilee Hill Tingle has followed a winding road to writing her first book. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in southern California, she and family moved back to her father's Indiana hometown of Seymour in 1969. Merrilee enjoyed a lon corporate career in Louisville, Kentucky, and a nine-year stint in the music field before moving back to Seymour to care for her aging mother. Married to Tony since 1982, they have two children, twins, Adam and Claire. All through her life Merrilee has written poetry, but the pleasure of Tony's gardening and a granddaughter's remark about a bumblebee led her to writing Once Upon A Flower.
