Michael Bogdan
Professor Michael Bogdan (J.U.Dr.(Prague 1969), BA (Lund), LL.M. (Lund) and juris doctor (Lund)) was born in 1946 in Banská Bystrica in former Czechoslovakia. Since 1968, he lives in Sweden and is Senior Professor of Comparative and PrivateInternational Law in the Law Faculty of the University of Lund. His previous positions at the University of Lund were Professor of Private Law and International Trade Law (1985-1995), Associate Professor of International Law (1978-1984), Assistant Professor of Law (1976-1978) and Research Assistant (1975-1976). In addition to his doctoral thesis 'Expropriation in Private International Law' (1975), he is the author of nine books and more than 400 articles and reviews on various legal subjects. He is a member of, inter alia, GEDIP (Groupe européen de droit international privé), Institut de droit international andAcadémie internationale de droit comparé.
