Michael ElmentalerMichael Elmentaler ist seit 2006 Professor für deutsche Sprachwissenschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt Niederdeutsche Sprache und Literatur an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Er ist Vorsitzender des Vereins für niederdeutsche Sprachforschung (VnS), Mitglied der Internationalen Gesellschaft für Dialektologie des Deutschen (IGDD) und Sprecher des Kieler Forschungszentrums "Arealität und Sozialität in der Sprache". Zu seinen Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören: Niederdeutsche Sprachwissenschaft, Dialektologie und Regiolektforschung und Historische Graphematik.
