Michael J MarcusDr. Michael J. Marcus has been a foot and ankle surgeon for the past 40 years, with active practices in Montebello and Irvine, CA. He is Board-certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery; a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons; and a member of the Foot Health Council of the American Diabetes Association. A native of Bronx, NY, Dr. Marcus received his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland and his medical training at Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating with honors, he completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at Kern Hospital in Michigan under the supervision of Dr. Earl G. Kaplan, who is still considered by many to be the father of contemporary podiatric surgery. In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Dr. Marcus travelled to Ground Zero where he volunteered by treating police, fire, and rescue workers. He has also completed several marathons, including the world-famous Boston marathon. Today Dr. Marcus is also a patron of the arts.
