Michael LuckenMichael Lucken is Professor of Contemporary Japanese History at the Institut National des Anciens Langues et Civilisations Orientales. He is also the author of: L'Art du Japon au vingtième siècle (2001), Les Japonais et la guerre 1937-1952 (2013), an Imitation and Creativity in Japanese Arts from Kishida Ryūsei to Miyazaki Hayao (2016). Many of his books are translated in English, Japanese, Chinese and Greek. He has received several awards for his academic achievements, including the Konishi Translated Literature Prize (2012) and the Académie Française–Thiers Prize for best history book (2014). This book was originally published in French under the title Le Japon grec: Culture et possession (Gallimard, 2019) and has received several awards, including the Great Prize of Blois History Festival.
