Since 2008 he has published the online journal CTX Live Theatre, which is dedicated to live narrative theatre in Austin, San Antonio, and the ret of Central Texas. He served for more than thirty years as a diplomat with the US Department of State and was assigned abroad in Africa, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. While economic counselor of the US Mission to International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, he was the US representative to the World Intellectual Property Organization. He has graduate degrees in comparative literature, business, economics, and national security studies, and he is on the boards of Gilbert & Sullivan Austin and the Austin Area Translators and Interpreters Association.
