Michael Sanchez RydelskiMr Michael Sánchez Rydelski was born on 30 May 1964 in Hamburg. He graduated from the law faculty of the University of Hamburg in 1990. In 1991 he qualified also as a lawyer in Spain. Between 1991 and 1994 he completed his German law training nd worked during that time for the German Embassy in Paris, the European Commission in Brussels and the Office of the Legal Counsel of the United Nations in New York. Mr Sánchez Rydelski was admitted to the Hamburg and Brussels Bar in 1994. He practised international trade law and EU competition law in Brussels. In 1999 he joined the Legal and Executive Affairs Department of the EFTA Surveillance Authority in Brussels. Mr Sánchez Rydelski received the Doctorate from the University of Hamburg in 2001. In 2003 he was appointed Deputy Director of the Legal and Executive Affairs Department. Mr Sánchez Rydelski left the EFTA Surveillance Authority in 2007 and returned to private practice in Brussels. He has published several books on WTO/EU anti-subsidy laws and has written numerous articles on various topics of international trade law and EU competition law. Mr Sánchez Rydelski is guest lecturer at the Universities of Hamburg and Reykjavik.
