Michele Angelo LupoiProf. Michele Angelo Lupoi was born in Rome in 1967. He studied Law at the University of Bologna, Italy where he graduated in 1991, with a thesis in Civil Procedural Law on matters of international jurisdiction. In 1996, he discussed his doctoate thesis on international lis pendens, and in 2000 he was appointed as researcher in the Faculty of Law at the University of Bologna. In 2004, he became an associate professor at the University of Bologna, where he currently teaches Civil Procedural Law, Insolvency Law and European Judicial Cooperation (in English) at the School of Law. He is the coordinator of the Corso di studio magistrale in Giurisprudenza of the School of Law of the University of Bologna at Ravenna. He has published a book on transnational conflicts of jurisdictions in 2002 and several volumes and essays in matters of international and comparative procedural law, insolvency, matrimonial proceedings, trust law and other procedural topics. He has been a visiting scholar at Cornell Law School, Ithaca, NY (1997-1998) and three times at Roger Williams University School of Law, Bristol, RI (2000, 2001 and 2008).
