She studied at the University of Rochester and received a master's dgree in Writing & Publishing from Emerson College, where she was the head proofreader of the Beacon Street Review. She has been the staff copy editor for medical publishers and corporate communications departments in addition to working on freelance editing projects for the past 15 years.
